The Bible teaches that when Jesus died he took the keys of hell and death (Revelation 1:18).
Jesus death was a spiritual event that reconciled us back to the Father so that death no longer has power over us, but it also enabled us to do even greater works than He did while he walked on this earth (John 14:12).
These aspects of the scripture give us a glimpse at the power that Christ came to restore to humanity. There are some who understand the power that God intended us to have, but they have abused it and raised themselves up as gods among men.
This piece highlights the fine line we walk according to scripture that while we have the capacity to carry great power, that does not make us God.
