During the last Tuesday night prayer in 2024 this visual came to me: as people were worshiping, I could see their prayers being lifted up to heaven and the scripture from Revelation 5:8 truly came alive.
The scattered gold flecks ascend from the base, representing each prayer lifted in faith, shimmering as they rise toward the heavens. The gold at the bottom serves as a foundation—the faith, devotion, and worship of believers—while the darker tones above evoke the mystery and majesty of God’s presence, where prayers are received. The piece conveys a sense of movement, as if the unseen yet powerful act of prayer is visually manifesting on the canvas. The contrast between light and darkness highlights how prayers pierce through uncertainty, carrying hope and connection to the divine. This artwork serves as a reminder of the power and beauty of communion with God, illustrating that no prayer goes unheard, and each one is gathered like precious incense before His throne.
